As a new charity Jonny Kennedy North East is always looking at ways to develop new relationships with other EB sufferers and their families. For several months we have been in contact with Stevie in California, who has a life long friend Codie who sufferers with dystropic epidermolysis bullosa
Codie (DEB) at the time was living in a trailer park in Sonomo, California for years until his friend Stevie contacted us for help and ideas on ways to raise funds to help Codie get away from his present living conditions.
Within 3 months of our help Codie is living in a new home with all mod cons and is now living life to the full, all down to the help and advice from JKNE and the hard work Steve put in to raise several thousand dollars.
Since then Stevie has linked the charity with a website called EB Friends (ebfriends.ning.com). This site is for all EB sufferers family and friends from all over the world, and a fantastic way for everyone to communicate with each other and to discuss their lives and how they cope on a daily basis.
